The Project
Omni Hotel & Convention Center is a full-scope luxury hospitality build — guestrooms, public spaces, and a major convention center under one envelope. EcoMovers was brought in to receive, warehouse, and install every piece of FF&E across the property.
That meant 820+ guestrooms across 18 floors (roughly 46 keys per floor). The entire public-area program — lobby, lobby cafe, lower and upper lounges, sports bar, all-day dining, Mangrove Restaurant, rooftop bar, spa, fitness center, pool and cabanas. And the full convention center — Grand Ballroom, Junior Ballrooms, Executive Boardroom, Greenroom, prefunction, meeting rooms, and admin suites.
Seventeen distinct FF&E categories. One general contractor. One install team. One point of accountability.

Field Modification: Because Plans Meet Reality
Specs and as-built rarely match perfectly. On a project this scale, a meaningful portion of the scope required field modification — and that’s a capability we plan for from the receiving stage forward.
Guestroom closet & mini-bar units shipped slightly oversized for as-built room conditions. Across 600+ units, our install crews modified pieces on the floor — closet to closet, room to room — and brought every one in to spec.
VPS and PS suite casegoods — consoles, sectionals, dining chairs at the executive suites — required tighter fit-up tolerances and protective handling. We staged a dedicated suite-level install path so the highest-value pieces moved through the property under controlled conditions.
Public-area dining tables at Mangrove, all-day dining, and the sports bar included custom-built communal tables. We coordinated directly with the millworker for on-site assembly so the tables landed in their final position with no rework.
Convention center built-ins — boardroom conference table, lecterns, bar-height community tables on casters — required final fit-up after wall surfaces were complete. We sequenced our install behind the GC’s wall finishes so nothing got installed twice.

Statues, decorative objects, and freestanding sculptures throughout public areas
Stone, mirror, and lighted-mirror pieces — edge-protected staging and dedicated two-person carries
Outdoor cabanas and fire-pit lounge groups — staged terrace-side after envelope dry-in
When Things Go Sideways: The Water Event
Mid-project, a wing of guestrooms — floors 11 through 29 — sustained a multi-floor water intrusion event.
The kind of thing every GC dreads. The kind of thing that can take a project off schedule and turn the FF&E install into a claims headache.
Here’s what our team did:
De-installed every affected piece in the impacted wing
Wrapped and edge-protected each item for transport
Shuttled to off-site warehouse and tracked condition in storage
Stayed in lockstep with remediation — our schedule moved when their schedule moved
Re-installed every piece as rooms came back online, with no damage claims and no delay to the install sequence in unaffected wings
The remediation team kept their pace. The owner kept their opening sequence. The furniture came back in the same condition it went out.
That’s the difference between an installer and a partner.

How We Executed
Receiving. 53-foot trailers staged at the loading dock. Every box destination-coded and routed for streamlined floor flow.
Vertical lift. Every box moved by elevator to the correct floor. When elevators went out of service, we adjusted the install plan that day so unboxing and punch work continued without losing schedule.
Per-floor flow. Helpers unbox to room while installers begin set-and-place behind them. The two crews move together; the floor finishes together.
Salvage and recovery. De-install, wrap, warehouse, and reinstall as remediation schedules allowed.
Punch and follow-up. Post-GC walkthrough corrections. Late-delivery installs. Remediation of artwork installed by other trades. Whatever closed out the punch list, closed out the punch list.

In Their Own Words — Project Highlights
Over $20M of FF&E across 17 categories — from $645 guestroom dining chairs to a $558K Preciosa ballroom chandelier — received, warehoused, and installed under one roof.
Custom millwork on 600+ guestroom closet and mini-bar units — modified on the floor, installed to spec, day after day, room after room.
When a multi-floor water event hit the property, we de-installed, wrapped, and warehoused affected pieces while remediation continued — and put them back when the building was ready.
Have a Project Like This? Let’s Talk.
If you’re planning a hospitality build — luxury hotel, resort, convention property, or mixed-use — and you need an FF&E partner who can handle receiving, warehousing, install, and the things nobody schedules for (water events, oversized pieces, on-site modifications, vendor claims) — that’s what we do.
